Measures to support accessibility
Brenisha Turnertakes the following measures to ensure accessibility of Brenisha's Design Portfolio:
- Include accessibility as part of our mission statement.
- Include accessibility throughout our internal policies.
- Provide continual accessibility training for our staff.
- Assign clear accessibility goals and responsibilities.
- Test accessibility across multiple devices and screen sizes
- Design with accessibility in mind from the start
- Utilize accessibility tools like WAVE and VoiceOver, along with keyboard testing to evaluate accessibility throughout design and development
- Actively expanding my accessibility knowledge through continued learning with the 508 Trusted Tester training and ongoing WCAG updates to further improve my design work
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Brenisha's Design Portfoliois partially conformantwith WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformantmeans that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
